09 Jul Career Advancement

Billings Adult and Community Education understands how difficult it can be to take classes while you are employed full-time. Of course, it’s difficult to make the time to go to class, study, participate in labs, etc., all so that you can achieve something more in your professional life. It’s hard. But Billings Adult and Community Education is here to make things a little easier, to streamline this difficult process for you. It’s hard work, sure, but it’s going to be worth it for your future.

Career Advancement is important. In almost every job you will find some upward structure of advancement that’s based on experience and qualification. And it’s hard to be at the bottom of that structure. Especially hard when, because you lack certain qualifications, people newer to the job are advanced based upon their own qualifications and experience. And oftentimes on-the-job training doesn’t qualify you for advancement. That’s where Billings Adult and Community Education can help. Based upon your career interests, you will find here courses that help train you for the world of business, courses that develop your practical skills—skills that often include typing and computer literacy skills, marketing and management skills—but, the program can also help to develop your confidence. All classes are taught using computers and teachers—computers are a terrific tool to provide a student with information, while a teacher is invaluable at giving feedback and relevance to the material you’re studying.

Many career advancement programs are a step-by-step tiered process, and, by many measures so is this one: consider the adage, you have to crawl before you can walk. But, Billings Adult and Community Education helps speed up the process, because you can pay for just one course, and, if you manage to get through it early, you can continue to advance due to the flexible schedule at which you can participate in labs.

If you have any questions about career advancement or how Billings Adult and Community Education can help you to achieve your own career goals, call between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
